Hello, my lovely readers and fellow nail art lovers!
I am back today with another review. Yess, I will be doing several more reviews for my favorite items here in my next posts.
If you have been following my blog posts, then you may notice my fondness for decals. Though I usually wear my own homemade decals, today I will be testing this Whimsical / Fantasy pattern full-nail-decal sponsored by Bornprettystore.com - They are available in 12 gorgeous patterns.
Full Nail Water Decals - Colorful whimsical fantasy patterns (ID: 17693) |
If you are not an avid nail freehand painter, or if you just wanna slap something onto your nails quickly with no fuss - then this decal is for you. It is very thin, hugs your nails quite well, flexible and melts nicely under a top coat.
However, here's some reminder before we start:
- First of all, this type of decal is transparent. So, in order for them colors to pop up beautifully, you must use a light colored base underneath (preferably white).
- This type of decal is suuuppeerr thin, so you will have be very gentle with the pulling and smoothing them out and with the filing and all.
Let's get started, shall we?
- Get your decals ready.
- Prep your nails with your base color (here I was using Faceshop's gorgeous pearly white)
- Cut them into pieces that will fit your nails. Choose whichever sides you like.
- Remove the protective plastic film.
- Soak a piece in the water for 5 seconds until the decal can be easily removed from its backing paper.
- Put the decal piece onto your nail, and smooth it out - Gently! 'Cause it's super thin!
- Sop up excess water with a tissue, make sure it's smooth and dry
- File away the excess decal, or, you can use a little bit of top coat on the tip of your nail. The excess decal will MELT right away :)
- Dip your cleanup brush in acetone, and start cleaning the cuticles from any excess decals.
- Top coat!
